Ms. Lannister called Mr. Greyjoy about coming to his apartment to receive some personal effects. When she arrived, Mr. Greyjoy killed Ms. Lannister, then himself. Unbeknownst to Ms. Lannister, Mr. Greyjoy had checked himself into CMC after the breakup, suffering from depression and suicidal ideations. Now that we've finished up our first trial, I want to bring it back to your ability to identify what you want to get out of a witness, and how you'd go about doing that. Your job today... 1. Read the one testimony we didn't use in class - Dr. Jamie Hagar. Dr. Hagar is a witness for the defense and the Assistant Principal at Eastside High School. 2. You are going to take the role of an attorney for the prosecution, hired by Jordan's mom. 3. After reading the affidavit, write to me the following... a. What weaknesses would you exploit in Dr. Hagar's testimony? (One paragraph) b. What questions would you ask if you were cross-examining him? (At least five questions) Remember, the point is to identify what you want to get him to say, and base your questions around how to get him to say that. Jordan joined Eastside High School’s track team as a freshman, and quickly developed into a star sprinter.
